This is a sound mod for the MMO Foxhole. It completely overhauls nearly every sound in the game with new and improved counterparts, including guns, vehicles, and other various foley sounds (such as reloading). Main menu and itch.io page background art done by Tony "tnyczr" Cezar. Custom deploy screen and faction select art done by lercas. Sounds sourced from War Thunder, Day of Infamy, Battlefield 1, Rising Storm 2, and Insurgency Sandstorm. This is a non-profit fan created mod, pls no sue. Made by skaj.
7/3/2023 update: as of july 2023, this mod is now abandonware. i suppose it's kind of been obvious since there haven't been any updates in nearly a year, but i'm officially pulling the plug as of this posting. download links to update 20 and the better garrison flag mods will stay but no more updates will follow. the install method and mod as a whole should still work as of this writing, unless the devs catastrophically rework their whole game or something. thanks for all the support over the years.

Below, you'll find three download options.
The first is the complete sound mod. Comes with all the sounds, as well as a new main menu background and new music.
The second option is a supplementary mod that improves the look of all AI defense and Garrison House flags. You can see visual examples of them in the "Update 11 Changes" devlog.
The third option is the sound mod, but with the stock music and stock background.
To correctly install, take the PAK file downloaded and put it in [wherever your steam is installed]/steamapps/common/Foxhole/War/Content/Paks, right next to the standard Foxhole PAK (WITHOUT REPLACING). Whenever a new PAK is released, simply delete the old one and repeat this process with the new one.
Foxhole currently supports the loading of multiple PAK files at the same time, meaning you can use both the sound and flag mod without trouble.

minor bug. wrenching valves plays full length sound, allowing multiple instances of the wrench sound to play at once. kind of annoying. also great mod <3

Full release update! The King has returned...
awesome mod but noticed the 120 and 150 sound and animation don't line up, basically you continue loading the arty without any sound as the sound finishes before you complete reload which looks kind of weird
when the mod will be updated? some sounds stopped working..
i dont know whats happening but every other mod works and this one works to change the main menu back round but the actual sounds such as arty and gun sounds haven't changed. could someone help me figure out what ive done wrong?
Do you have any other sound mods installed at the same time as Skaj's mod? If so, they may be conflicting.
I'm having the same problem, no other sound mods downloaded. It seems like having other mods enabled just conflicts with it.

Love your mod. Only one thing is bugging me though. The snipers are to low in volume compared to other weapons that have lower calibers. Im not used to have our warden sniper sounding like an pea gun ;) other then that top notch and now i feel like an noob again having to recognize all the weapons by sound once more xD
Just a question, but what's the music you use for the menu? Both for update 17 and 18
for update 17 it was the menu ambience from STALKER Anomaly, for update 18 it's "Less Likely" by Trent Reznor

For those having problems downloading, even with no adblock. Disable your VPN if you have one. VPN will prevent the download from happening.
Guess it depends on the VPN then, no problems with mullvad on.
I would have to guess that it does. As Nord VPN prevented me.
